Sunnyland, was a close family friend. He was my foundation, in blúes. I miss him every day of my life. So very grateful, he mentored, and loved me. Got me my first gigs with him. He shared so much with me. God bless Sunnylands Soul forever....!!!
I remember back in the late 80's when I really got heavy into Sunny Land Slim-I was around 18 or 19 years of age, and broke as hell, plus in debt, but somehow those old blues song rung the truth and pulled me through-I work hard like a dummy girl, and come home straight with my pay, I woke up this morning and didn't have a place to stay...
