In my younger days, I wished I knowed then like I know now
In my younger days, I wished I knowed then like I know now
I wouldn’t be standing around here, begging for this little woman to let me in her house
Back in those days, I wished I’d knowed then like I know now
Back in those days, I wished I’d knowed then like I know now
The money I was throwing away, I could have saved it and bought my own house
(And I’d’ve had a home)
In my younger days, I wish I knowed then like I know now
Well, in my younger days, I wished I knowed then like I knowed now
I wouldn’t be standing 'round, begging this woman to let me in her house
