If there is any question where I got the username...Slim Harpo discs were regularly played in my parents, grandparents, aunts' and uncles' homes, along with all the great R&B stars. A whole lot of music-live and recorded- came through Derby City when I was a kid! I'm 60 now...
Louisville itself had great, huge record stores, and after our fulltime R&B/Soul station, WLOU, signed off at sunset, here comes WLAC, Nashville with all the mail-order record shops and amazing announcers. My collection of over 3,500 discs is based on records saved from family collections of Classic Rhythm and Blues.
