The kids stuffed bunny symbolizes his Imagination and his innocence as a child. The man who has a bearskin draped over him symbolizes the starkness of the real world. The man steals his bunny therefor forcing the kid to loose his imagination, to loose his innocence and become a part of the real world. The kid starts to cry because he has lost his imagination and the real world is too much for him to bare, and he becomes lonely and lost without it. His imagination now drifts away in the sea.

I find it amazing the way there's a general feeling of devastation of us who've seen the video. Beyond the meaning some people attach to it, we are talking about a kid and his stuffed animal. Something some people might find irrelevant. If that devastates us is because of the truly craftpiece of the music, video and lyrics in general. Awaking so deep sensations with such video, making you feel empathized and deeply sorry for the kid is not easy to achive. I admire these guys work and their crew.
