never to short the dignity of this group,but ain't Hank just so sweet,but what the hell,,the Hawk,the Manne,and whenever I hear the name ,Duvivier,I think of Mr. BP, Bob Porter and the way he prnounced that name always adding his articulate touch to the GM.

Shelly is or rather was one of the finest jazz drummers of all time and I find this recording brilliant.

Remember seeing Shelley with Andre Previn on TV making a recording done to celebrate 25 years of their "My Fair Lady" album. On one track Shelley read the score and then picked up Andre because his drum intro was about 1/4 bar too long. Obviously a great musician a swell a drummer. . .
