I like this r&r goody, I say that even tho I hadn't heard it up until now. The lyrics are positive & it's a somewhat different sound. It dose not remind me of Chuck Berry or even Fats Domino but more likely Nat King Cole going beyond his Lazy Hazy Crazy Days of Summer....better still Louis Armstrong & Hello Dolly. First time for this one & it shouldn't be my last/I'll be back. Thx4 postin'

The stutter and the lyrics reminds me of Come Love by Jimmy Reed. Pretty sure he was inspired by that tune.

Yep, you could pick up New Orleans radio stations over in Jamaica and the sounds were picked up and then given a unique Jamaican twist from there

Ska had nothing to do with this rhythm and blues sound that was articulated, starting in the 1940's, by African American artists like Big Joe Turner, Jackie Wilson, Louis Jordan and Bobby Blue Bland.

This dude is from like 50 or 60 years ago. Trust me, ska lent off him.

R and B had everything to do with ska. Listen to Laurel Aitken or Derrick Morgan from the late 50's. Early ska sounded almost just like R and B.

has anyone heard Huey Lewis's cover of this song. He does such a great job of it. His has that big band swing sound to it. Not to mention his great vocals. Check it out.
