excellent work by the composer, bringing the disappointment and angst of unrequitted love. this man also wrote the score for squadron 633 and the music as the planes bear in, rivals richard rodgers and richard wagner as putting motion into music. BRAVO

I was only 20 years old when I saw this film. The story is a lovely classic but, the music has stayed with me, note for note for almost 50 years. It should be a classic in its own right. (And of course I wanted to marry Kim Novak) :D

I read this book and was touched deeply by it's sadness. I then went to the movie and fell in love with he hauntingly beautiful music. I am old now and it can still bring tears to my eyes.
