When I heard of this in school I thought my friends were talking about a 80's hair metal band... hehe. 5 or 6 years later I found a copy of this at local library. Love the instrumental harmonies sooo much; I renewed it 4 times. This stuff is great!
I really like how this song title can ve seen as basically a play with the word Thriller
The music really builds up in a very chilling and dramatic tone, like it's about to build up to something scary or at least emotional, just like in a horror movie.
I get chills everytime I listen through the piano part of the song, especially since it keeps building up everytime, until it finally stops in the end, with the guitar solo.
That part almost feels like a salvation through this eery tune. I mean, imagine if the music had continued like that until the end? I would be anxious for nothing hahaha.
This song is amazing, and just feels like a narrative without having to say anything, but I guess that goes for every Ratatat song, that's why I like these guys so much :-)
honest to God, one of the creepiest tracks ever produced. anywhere. ever.
im serious when i say only one or two other songs spook me more than this song.
