through shutters old and weary
Stands in vain, just the long shadows
Stands in vain, just the long shadows, just the long shadows
In this ghost town, from one night to another, shinin bright
Stands in vain, just the long shadows Poco, stands in vain
and there s no lover
of used to be
Stands in vain, an endless flight
Whose heart burns, from one night to another
Through shutters old and weary, who patiently waits
It s a hard life, in this ghost town
broken window pane
stands in vain
shinin bright
And there s no lover, of used to be, in this ghost town
Like a lost love, and there s no lover
Just the long shadows, from one night to another
for it s day of reckon
Faded memories, who patiently waits
While night winds moan and whisper, in the firelight
In this ghost town, from one night to another
for it s day of reckon
Just the long shadows, that chase through this ghost town
While night winds moan and whisper, and there s no lover
Poco...this is one great band. I got this CD today!! great song, I've known it since it came out, always love it and shoot for the moon..I listen to Poco songs every day.
Great band, I wish they kept on making music..they are so UNDERRATED!!!!
Poco was very underrated and NEVER received the credit they deserved for their influence on Country Rock. The fact that Randy Meisner and Timothy B Schmidt went over to the EAGLES and had great careers with that band is also overlooked that they came from POCO first! This group had TOO MANY songs that were exceptional to not have received more fame.
Poco is my all-time favorite band! For me, Ghost Town is one of their best tunes from the 80's. As usual, it's the combination of many talents that make this song great. Some standout performances, though, are Paul Cotton's awesome lead guitar, Stephen Chapman's drums, the string section's flourishes, and Rusty Young's melody and lyrics!!!
Eagles were not the super band it was poco by far look at the talet that came of the band tim randy jimmy rusty richard paul so many amazing I wish jimmy messina wuold have never have left
Poco are great/ Eagles are great. I have all their albums and play Poco more that the Eagles but they were undeniable in paying more attention and craftsmanship in song writing and recording. There were simply more hits songs that people loved worldwide. Well now I am going to listen to Bad Weather from Live 1976. I think their best performance ever.
A great track from a band more people should know about. This actually got some radio play when it first came out. See this group live if you ever have the chance.
