I love...absolutely love...this song. But then again, I love any and every song Petula Clark sings. The very sound of her voice turns me on...and, yes, in "that" way. Weird thing is that I do not understand a word of French, yet feel as if I know what she's singing about on this video. Her beauty, of course, is one reason she turns me, but I think it's more because of the way she sings...this song and any song. Believe me, if Petula Clark be so inclined, I'd let her sing me to sleep.
She's finished the beautiful story
She's finished you can believe me
At the last cry of dead loves
Farewell
You can pray, there is nothing to do
Why shout? Better shut up
She's finished the beautiful story
Farewell
Without regret, you have to leave
Keeping for us
All the good memories
We must go, keep to finish well
The best of us
In a last smile
She's finished our romance
Find forgetting and our luck
Because in life everything starts again
Farewell
We must leave the heart in pain
Towards the future, whatever happens
She's finished our romance
Farewell
I much prefer men, been married to the same one for well over fifty years, but I'm bi enough to have enjoyed being with a girl every now and then, usually sharing the old man with a girl...and the sound of Petula Clark singing reminds me of how much fun having same-sex sex can be. I am. of course, thinking Petula Clark, and if she be so inclined...
