Moon River, wider than a mile
I’m crossing you in style someday
You dream maker
You heart-breaker
Wherever you’re going
I’m going your way
Two drifters off to see the world
There’s such a lot of world to see
We’re after the same rainbow’s end
Waiting round the bend
My Huckleberry friend
Moon River and me
Moon River, wider than a mile,
I'm crossing you in style someday.
Oh dreammaker, you heartbreaker.
Wherever your going, I'm going your way.
Two drifters, off to see the world,
There's such a lot of world to see.
We're after the same rainbow's end,
Waitin 'round the bend
My huckleberry friend,
Moon River and me.
Patti Page's voice is classic. The lyrics to the songs she sang represent a more romantic time in entertainment history. Love and life did not seem to be taken for granted.
Thanks for posting this beautiful song, by a beautiful person with a beautiful voice!
Roger Wiliams' piano arrangement version also bring out the love and romance that touches the heart!

"Moon River, wider than a mile:
I'm crossin' you in style someday.
Old dream maker, you heartbreaker,
Wherever you're goin', I'm goin'your way.
Two drifters, off to see the world.
There's such a lot of world to see.
We're after the same rainbow's end,
Waitin' round the bend,
My huckleberry friend,
Moon River and me."
her voice is so pristine, it seems unreal, I was born in 1952, so I remember her music so well, they said it was boring or something, it served a purpose and it was laid back, but not boring
