Wow...! I remember clearly when I bought this record in 1962 when I was 17, and my pals and me would play it over and over, singing along with Pat ! We used to laugh when we referred to "that no good Johnny" ! My God, it's been a lifetime since then...

(Neil Diamond sang it when Neil was over 40 years old - I am not a Neil Diamond fan, just like his Song Sung Blue).. I like Pat Boone's version of Ten Lonely Guys. pay attention to the lyrics--it's about young love. the fear of your loved one being stolen from you because the other guy is "rich." pat boone's nice voice and his excellent diction do justice to this song.

This song seems tailor-made for Elvis! I wouldn't be surprised if it was offered to his team first and they rejected it. But it seems made for Elvis' vocal mannerisms, such as "Johnny will, uh-hu," the musical pauses, etc.

Oh! I remember those days.. I heard this song in Dubai Fm.92's show called Down the memory lane, a saturday show I think9pm, it was in 1988 I guess and I had a habit to tape down these songs and later in the ninte's I sung this song for our 7th grade class party. It was so nice.
