These guys were one of my favorites at the Shaboo Inn in CT. They played so often it seemed they were the house band. Great times and an awesome band!!!
When I lived in CT, we used to go to the Shaboo Inn to see great national acts. This was one of the local ones we'd see over and over and over again. Enjoyed them oh so much. I still don't understand why they never blew up. Greatest party band alive.
I love Carlene she is so cool and I love how she is like in love them . And how she is like What ?
and like this whole interview she did with them is so funny
I love hearing the "room" in this, hearing that the guitar amp is f**ing loud and that the sound is filling that TV studio, as it should. Tommy brings it. Every single snare hit, Tommy brings it.
Well, nothing lasts forever. Scott Ligon may be a "no name bar musician" to you but most of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame fit that description at some time or other. And I'm not saying he's going to HOF, but he is a fantastic musician and has a real passion for NRBQ. He CHOSE to pick up the mantle. If you are looking for an oldies show, you probably should stay away. If you are looking for fantastic music in the NRBQ tradition, you will find it. (The new bass player also kicks ass.)
