You don’t know what love is Until you learned the meaning of the blues
Until you loved the love you’ve had to lose
You don’t know what love is You don’t know how lips hurt
Until you’ve kissed and had to pay the cost
Until you’ve flipped your heart and you have lost
You dont know what love is Do you know how a lost heart fears
The thought of suffering
And how lips that taste of tears
Lose their taste for kissing
You dont know how hearts burn
For love that cannot live yet never dies
Until you reached each dawn with sleepless nights
You don’t know what love is Do you know how a lost heart fears
The thought of suffering
And how lips that taste of tears
Lose their taste for kissing
You don’t know what love is Until you learned the meaning of the blues
Until you loved the love you had to lose
You don’t know what love is
I bought this album, new, in 1962 Always soothed and captivated by her lovely style and voice. Still remember every phrase, note, and inflection of every song on the album. This was/she was a major jewel in my little collection.
There will never be another singer like Ms. Nancy Wilson.
Just a sweet jewell.
I am having a hard since her passing how she was involved in so many projects.
And the Johnson administration in the 1060's and the Nixon administration not in the history books of america not even black history books.
I shall always, cherish you for your music and how much you loved children.
Rest in peace.
