I stumbled upon this song a month ago while shopping in a local grocery store, its raw power and beauty capturing my attention immediately. Curious, I eventually came upon a clerk breaking down boxes in a back room, an iPod nearby powering a small set of speakers. Our eyes met. My wide-eyed expression must have said it all. 'As I Am', he said, matter-of-factly. 'Mystery - a Canadian band.', he then added. I was mesmerized then and still am now, even after countless plays. What a great discovery!

I came to this band relatively late with the fantastic 'Desolation Rain' album - but as well as the new material like 'Lies and Butteflies', I'm really enjoying their back catalogue with Benoit David, and this track is superb! Touches of Rush and Yes in there, but also its their own creation, and so proggy but melodic too! Thank you for the discovery of so many great songs, guys! The best export from Canada since Rush - hope you can make it to the UK sometime soon.
