I saw merl at station square......got an autograph and big hug and kiss.....One of his staff saw me waiting for him to leave his bus and got me a chair to be "comfortable"......... Merle came out of his bus,I handed him my leather vest to sign, (with many other country singers) and would you believe my pen wouldn't write....he took it into the bus, signed it and came back out, handed it to me with a hug and a KISS........

My mom plays this country music all the time..at first id joke about it and how it doesnt match my modern music or death metal music. But now that i listen i notice how much it means to her, and it means so much to me now. And i am blessed that i learned how beautiful this is to me before she passes away. My mother has alot of years left, but i listen to this to show appreciation all the time. Im glad i learned the lesson before shes gone, thanks mom for showing me incredible music. (':
Edit: 5 months later and ive been moved out of the house for 2 months now. Luckily i took those lessons. All i do is listen to my moms music now that im all grown up. Amazing stuff what can happen. Shes not gone physically but boy is moving out and not hearing this music playing in the kitchen every day while my mom cooks a huge change. I miss you mom. Ill be looking forward to seeing you again in that tiny kitchen full of music and life again sometime.

When i listen to this song i am reminded of when my wife and i first started out. We were young (19) with a newborn. I saved what i could and bought us a fixer up mobile home. All the furniture we had was a recliner and a mattress all on plywood floor (no carpet yet). I cut down a blue spruce on the property for a Christmas tree. I promised her if we made it through the winter I promise it will get better. It did, I made sure of it.
