Definitely the royal wedding arraingement of this magnificent piece!!! We see here maurice in his glorious prime at the height of his powers hitting this one way out the park!!!!!! It was moments like this that made him the greatest trumpeter of the 20 th, century!!!!

how come I tend to drop a tear or 2 whenever I hear this tune?

I had the good pleasure to see Monsieur Andre at my high school in 1970. What a delightful concert!

I never get tired of hearing this great voluntary. Usually when I play this, it is on the organ with a trumpet.

I, too, was blessed to hear him live, at Central Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, many years ago, accompanied by the glorious Casavant organ there. What a thrill for the young people in this video to perform with him!

I love this piece and Maurice André is excellent of course, but I don´t like this arrangement. It sounds bombastic and too heavy and slow. Just trumpet and organ is enough to give the right feeling.
