I miss TIm Hauser. I first saw the Manhattan Transfer when they made their West Coast debut at the Roxy. Then a few years later Tim Hauser had his own free-form radio show on KCRW called "Sunday Sings Jazz" (the theme music of which was sung to the tune of "Jumping with Symphony Sid"). He shared how he was influenced by the bop, jive, ballads and novelty songs of his formative years during the 1940's and early 1950's. He and the Manhattan Transfer brought great musical styles back to a new generation.
