As the ashes on the battlefield slowly started falling on the ground, one of the few, maybe the last of his generation, rose to his feet. He turned his head to the sky and looked at the the few clouds circling the battlefield. And the he saw... The first sunrays, ripped through the clouds, marking the dawn of the new era... Weary of the fights, but satisfied of the victory, he turned his back on the souls of the dead, and left to find another, greater tomorrow...
the battle doesnt end with your life. it goes on until the darkness is slain and love blankets the world. so take comfort in your last moments, if you're set to fall before the war is over. the rest of us will take up your banner, and hold tight your memory, and continue forward until the journey ends
As the hero valiantly slays the last of the demonic scourges left in his world. He is left with nothing but tranquility. It took the last bit of his life essence to bring peace to the lands. As he succumbs to his wounds he fades away. This song is what he hears as a brilliant bright light covers him and he ascends to a place not far off from Valhalla.... I swear, this makes for one hell of a concept album.
Wow ...thanks very much for an utterly sumptuous journey through the ether 80's! Everything that was great about the sound of 80's sci-fi and fantasy cinema, neatly rapped up into this wondrously enchanting album. Kudos!
...need a seriously bleak but epic certificate 18 scifi film to go with this.....the main characters would probably have to die in the end but they would save the world doing so........
My son Eythen had this song on a playlist labeled "My funeral". This song along with another were last two song he listened to before taking his life.
It has been two weeks since he did it and I miss him more each day. It has been really hard to live my new normal without him.
Talking with his friends, I learned he would stand up to bullies at school on several occasions to protect others. He even stepped into action and saved a girl's life when she was choking on her sandwich. He never told me how much of a hero he was. I wish I could tell him that I am proud of his bravery.
I wish I could hold him now and tell everything is going to be ok...we will get through whatever is bothering him.
I wish I could tell him how much I love him.
R.I.P my beautiful boy Eythen Duran
