First jazz album I ever bought as a teenager circa 1967. We used to jam on this groove after band practice. Would play it following pep rallies leaving the gym. Nobody wanted to go back to class so they made us stop playing it! Ahhhh, the memories
Great grove. Lou always brings back the grove and the feel of the 60's. Cool & grove. Horn section really is great. Nice feel no rush. And what else can you say about Lou Donaldson the great one. He is great..

This is my first time hearing this album. This sounds great and played well. The CD goes for just as much as the recent Tone Poet Blue Note re-issue of this album so i might just pick the LP copy up.
On this timeless sound and rhythm I could boogie all day and all night long. Takes one back to the breezing 1960-1970s when the hammond organ/guitar/horn/drums combo defined the sound of progressive jazz. Many thanks for the upload of this masterpiece. I have this on vinyl but just where does one get it on CD, if at all?
