You don t know, and all you want is to find home
all the hopes i can bring
And all you want is to find home, and the wind makes them move
You don t know, to another day
the silence takes its toll
When your trees start to sway, and you don t know
All the hopes i can bring, when the rain wash away
All the hopes i can bring, you don t know, the silence takes its toll
i can tell that
mark your place in time with another question why
ooooh ooooh ooooh ooooh
You don t know, to another day Sway, you don t know
When your trees start to sway, you don t know
You don t know, ooooh ooooh ooooh ooooh, and all you want is to find home
You don t know, when the sun comes down
you don t know
When your trees start to sway, time flickers in the night, and all you want is to find home
time flickers in the night
You don t know, to all the fights i ve conquered and, and all you want is to find home
the times have changed and i will now move over slowly
All the hopes i can bring, you don t know, you don t know
Time flickers in the night, hard to find a new soul, time flickers in the night
And all you want is to find home, when the rain wash away, you don t know
You don t know, and you don t love Sway, you don t know
You don t know, theres a light pausing Lostprophets, time flickers in the night
Hard to find a new soul, all the hopes i can bring, when the rain wash away
To another day, hard to find a new soul, ooooh ooooh ooooh ooooh
To all the fights i ve conquered and, and all you want is to find home Sway, you don t know
theres a light pausing
I will never forget how I walked into a random CD store in my town, browsed around and bought this masterpiece just because I found the album art badass. I was blown away how good it turned out to be and had a lot of memories with their songs.
I listened to the album at least 3-4 times a day, loving every single song!!
Good times!
It‘s been 15 years, incredible how time flies and it still sounds so fresh and new.
5:35 Reminded me of "Heroes" for some odd reason. Haha Hey, does anyone remember trying to get to 4:30 on an ipod to listen till 10:-?? And then repeating skimming back to listen again? Oh, man haha.
i don't care what ian did. lostprophets will still live in my heart. i grew up listening to them and linkin park and they bring a joy to my heart no other band's have pulled off before. ian did terrible and made the rest of the band look bad but i still love them. i hope all (but ian) will do great.
best lostprophets song
Also this music was recorded nine years before Ian went off the deep end, so as far as I'm concerned, they are entirely unrelated. It's still a great album.
I will never will forget the first time I listened to this song. It was in December 2008. A friend of me gave me the first three LP-albums on a USB-stick, because I asked him for some new music, without mentioning a band's name, without even knowing Lostprophets.
After listening to some songs, I put all these albums on my iPod.
Back in that time I was 16 years old, so I had to go by bike for 6 kilometers to get to work, straight through the landscape. On a cold evening in December when I was on my way back home, this song came up. I already knew the beginning, so it was nothing special until then. While I was listening, it started snowing, right when the outro started. I never heared it before, so I was surprised to find something like this in one of LP's songs.
It was such a great experience to ride on my bicycle through nothing than darkness except my headlight, and thousands of snowflakes rushing towards me, listening to this beauty of a song for the first time in my entire life. Very intensively... even though it may sound quite ordinary :D
Watkins did something for which he doesn't deserve to live, but I will forever support the rest of the band. Because they stuck with me via their music through the most difficult periods of my life. Lostprophets isn't only Ian Watkins, Lostprophets are also Jamie, Lee, Luke, Mike and Stu and those guys clearly distanced themselves from Watkins and shunned him via public statement. For that I thank them, because now I will listen to this and know that not ALL of it was a lie, just the input Watkins was responsible for. Start Something will forever be my remedy for depression and blues. And Ian, I hope you rot in prison forever and I hope you never make it out to daylight again!
This song is so depressing and hollow sounding but beautiful too.
When he sings that it's hard to find a new soul, I wonder if he's talking about his own. A lot of the songs in this album have always had a very depressing undertone to them. I remember feeling it when listening to it as a kid. Listening back on it now you can clearly hear his emotions and cries for help. It's sad that he never got any. He must have always been battling his demons and feeling guilty and some of that came out in his music.
Not that I don't like, its biased, childish, and pathetic to see people coming here just to get a few words off their mind. Thats disrespectful to good music like this.
This song brings back memories, geology at college, isle or Arron, deep blue skies during the summer, ancient oceans with early life and aliens for some reason.
4:24 onwards is legitimately some of the best atmospheric music I have heard, which is quite an achievement for a band largely known for the complete opposite in terms of genre.
I haven't listened to this ever since hearing about the singer's heinous crimes...but on a whim I threw it in the CD player on my way to work. Such great music. Such a terrible tragedy. It's a shame that such awesome music has been tainted forever in my mind.
