Walter had it all! He invented distorted amps BEFORE guitarists! His acoustic harp had phrasing and tone to die for. His songs are amongst the greatest blues tracks. His songs were sexier than the rest. MORE harp players try to copy or reference or are influenced by him than any other. My Jack Russell is named "little" Walter.......the vet nurses all giggle when they call "Walter" to the waiting room!!! Muddy was the king of the blues, not B.B. (sorry) and Walter was the "Black knight"!!! RIP Walt, you changed my life ( for the better!!!!)
DAMN,man listen to his phrasing.check out how he finds which end of the harp he's at.Just damn, nobody had his phrasing and tone, pure genius and feel.Damn.this whole album is great,Mellow Down Easy is another one that has just amazing harp technique. He was it,he was who everybody tried to be with the single note,Chicago sound.what starts at 1:11 is amazing. Its what probably got Paul Butterfield to develop the style he had
