Level 42 were on another level when they began, this reminds me of watching them as suppport act on a Wembley bill, their main man Mark King was a joy to watch on bass, the way he thumped, slapped & toyed with that guitar as if his life depended on it was brilliant, they were certainly one of UKs top acts at that time, before they got commercial and lost their way i felt
I was fortunate enough to see them before the third album came out. The Early Tapes and Level 42 - Level 42 will remain masterpieces to me. Rip Boon Gould.
