I don't agree. I used to listen to LDOA in 2002 and they were already considered an Emocore band.. There was a lot of stuff like this in the late 90's and early 2000's. Stuff from Deep Elm and Jade Tree records, for example. It seems they're getting a little bit poppy with their last records... Great band, anyway.
every video fo LDOA i check i see people fighting about what term it is and stuff. I know for a fact that when they started out and made a few really great albums NO ONE considered this band Emo. Thats just thing that started when those make uped bands came out round 2003/4 or so....Not saying theyre bad (i wear make up) but calling this emo is the same as calling sebadoh, dinosaur jr Emo....
this is my all time favorite band.. iam 21 and been listening to this band since 7th grade..they are so unique they have their own genre. but if you all are trying to figure out what genre you want to label ldoa under, it surley is indy rock.. cheers! -ant
I have the CD, and the genre of this music is posted like "Emo Rock", all you people that have it, put it on Windows media player Library and update it for more info and you'll have it... This doesnt mean that the band is emo, but the genre says it :P but nevertheless LDOA ftw!
See them live plus some other cool Scandinavian bands at Polarzoo Festival: Dec 11 Berlin (GER), Dec 12 Vienna (AUT), Dec 13 Winterthur(SWI) polarzoofestival dot info
that's actually old-school emo, alongside with Sunny Day Real Estate, The Mars Volta etc. Hair has nothing to do with the genre, but seems like you think emo is a band with guys like Tokio Hotel and whatnot)
