King Crimson のファーストアルバム、In The Court Of The Crimson King の４曲目のMoonchild、最初この曲を聴いた時、２分２５秒を過ぎた後、音がしなくなり、ステレオの故障か？と思い、音量を上げると、そこかしこに散りばめられた音、音、音・・・聞こえなかったのなら聴こえなかったで済ませば良いものの、この音楽がどんな音楽なのかを知りたくてヘッドフォンを付けて最大音量で何度も何度も聴いていました。今の私の「音楽を聴く姿勢」に大きな影響を与えたのがこの音楽です。あれから３０年が経ち、２０世紀が終わり、２１世紀がやってきました。今改めてスマートフォンの最大音量でこの歌を聴いています。昔のCDラジカセに比べてとても良く聞こえます。聴こえてきます。キングクリムゾンへの感謝と、私は精神異常者なのか、それとも正常なのか、そんな事考える間も無くここまで。
