I'm a great Idol of Dinah Shore. She had a beautiful voice, a very great song from the war years. I love this music. This was with the great conductor Gordon Jenkins, a popular song in the war years. So has so many chart hits and very great recordings. She was one of the best sings of all time. I'm a great fan of her, the greatest singer of all time.
This song just came into my head after all these years, so I rushed to see all the lyrics. Wasn't Dinah Shore great? My brother was in the AAF, a gunner on a B-24. I was especially fond of songs about flyers and flying. "I came here to talk for Joe" was another favorite.
