As if they knew the gift they brought, secrets of the dead
We let ourselves be bled, we let ourselves be bled, as if they knew the gift they brought
We never learn form our mistakes, time takes us down so deep
secrets of the dead
left starving by our own mistakes
A crescent moon casts ghostly shapes, we never learn form our mistakes
we let ourselves be bled
A crescent moon casts ghostly shapes, left starving by our own mistakes
They searched out for a better race, left starving by our own mistakes
the secrets of the dead
We let ourselves be bled, and the hearts we break can t mend
secrets of the dead
secrets of the dead
the shifting sands conceal the truth
we let ourselves be bled
Secrets of the dead, secrets of the dead, as somewhere some thing flies
We let ourselves be bled, man s triumphs had no bounds Dead, they searched out for a better race
Secrets of the dead, the sands reclaimed their ground Priest, the sands reclaimed their ground
the shifting sands conceal the truth
They searched out for a better race, secrets of the dead, secrets of the dead
secrets of the dead
We never learn form our mistakes, where angels fear to tread
a crescent moon casts ghostly shapes
Was wasted on this earth, secrets of the dead Secrets, a crescent moon casts ghostly shapes
They searched out for a better race, left starving by our own mistakes, secrets of the dead
The shifting sands conceal the truth, a crescent moon casts ghostly shapes
They searched out for a better race, the shifting sands conceal the truth, a crescent moon casts ghostly shapes
They searched out for a better race, secrets of the dead, they searched out for a better race
Secrets of the dead, we let ourselves be bled Judas, secrets of the dead
Am I the only one who enjoys Redeemer of Souls (album) more than Firepower? Okay, the production on Redeemer could have been better, I admit. But that doesn't detract from the high quality songs. While Firepower has not one bad song, there are at least three tracks on Redeemer that I enjoy much more than any on Firepower: Dragonaut, Battle Cry, and Secrets of the Dead. And, as for me, the three I just named are among the top dozen songs Priest has ever done. That's just me, but I'm sold on ROS!
the album goes easy at first, pretty good, you could have it in the background while doing something else. But then comes a point where you have to leave everything on hold and apreciate the brilliance of it.
Oh God... How can someone can make a song like this? A FUCKING MASTER PIECE! Only Metal Gods can! What a powerful riff, accompanied with the perfect beat on drums by Scott Travis! And minute 3:27... Again... Oh God... They know the perfect way of making me cry... Epic... Simply EPIC! Surely one of the greatest in the album!
