When ya got a clean smile
You can walk with style
You can be naked with no brain
In your pussy I’m coming
And I love you
I always have to
Thank God I found you
Ahh, as beautiful talk as it was to me
Do you see?
There’s no more me
I’m happy as can be
I’m happy as can be
When John Frusciante talks about "stretching time" in relation to music, he's not joking. This feels twice as long, when really listened to, as it actually is... and I'm still under the impression that "My Smile Is a Rifle" is like 8 minutes worth of beautiful madness... thank God we've been graced with the existence of such a wonderful musician. Sincere thanks to John.
hes not afraid to pour his heart and soul into his work. theres not once drop of modesty or shyness in any of his songs. absolutely no distance between his instrument and his soul
I like this first record! of the talented! guitarist and also painter! and I'm happy! for having it! the courage to quit drugs! and return to the band you started from! to the super band! R.H.C.P. Stay clean! and continue to have the pleasure of playing guitar! just as he knows! PEACE.
This is my most played album, in itunes on my old computer I remember it was over 300 plays. I'm 22 now and I remember at 15 my truant depressed self would smoke cigarettes in my room listening to this album over and over every damn day. It holds a special place in my heart, for sure part of the soundtrack of my life.
it says the best works of an artist remain closed in a drawer. I think that by listening this album we can take a peek in an artist's drawer. that's the reason, after several years I have been listening this album, for which I consider NL&UJaT-shirt the best JF's work. so pure, so free.
