When John Frusciante talks about "stretching time" in relation to music, he's not joking. This feels twice as long, when really listened to, as it actually is... and I'm still under the impression that "My Smile Is a Rifle" is like 8 minutes worth of beautiful madness... thank God we've been graced with the existence of such a wonderful musician. This is my most played album, in itunes on my old computer I remember it was over 300 plays. I'm 22 now and I remember at 15 my truant depressed self would smoke cigarettes in my room listening to this album over and over every damn day. It holds a special place in my heart, for sure part of the soundtrack of my life.
