The lyrics are very clever, and cut both ways. A feminist and/or divorce attorney could have fun pointing out the many ways the narrator exposes his own deficiencies while laying out his complaints. Basically he got tired of eating his own cooking, so he finds a woman, tires of her and leave her alone at nights, then wonders how he did so badly in the settlement. (In which his kids seem secondary to the house, cars and color TV.)
