Was a bit amused by the audience on this recording. Someone is off to a good start clapping on the backbeat but as soon as more join in it disintegrates and people clap on 1 and 3 with others trying to stick to 2 and 4, until everybody gives up. Thought surely this must have been somewhere in Europe (yes very racist) and indeed, recorded at the Boogie Woogie and Ragtime Piano Contest, Zurich, Switzerland, November 27, 1977.

Ranks up there with Tatum's and Garner's versions, but hell they can't sing like Booker.

I was curious to hear this... ...to hear what a quintessential New Orleans piano player would do with what I've always thought of as a Tin Pan Alley chestnut (although the song has a long and impressive history, Google it)... ...and, boy, does he deliver the goods. Chops, stride, motivic development, rhythmic drive, and an ending that shows what a wise entertainer he is as well: Professor Longhair meets Les McCann.

Absolute beautiful piece of music! I have no idea why this guy's name is not mentioned amongst some of the greatest pianist to ever live!

Booker recorded around 10 versions of this over the years. Most were live club recordings and this stands as much as anything he played as his signature piece. Of all the recordings, this is my favorite-there is such a magical playful approach to his playing on this recording
