Has a year passed since my comment. Still so in love with her magical, gentle voice. I am 83 on March 10, 2019 and am so glad that I accidentally discovered her. This is a favorite song of mine, so I listen to all recordings of it. This lady has a nice voice. Piano is a bit loud here, but nice.

I really like Irene Kral - one of my fav jazz singers from back in the day but for this song if you really want your heart pulled out, check out Nancy Wilson's version of "Never Let Me Go."

It has taken me 81 years to discover this singer. I am speechless. Her diction is perfect and this is just a really beautiful song. I was introduced to Irene via Jazz fm (U.K) who played her unbeatable version of "Better than anything" which if you haven't heard, please listen right now. My Xmas list will include at least one Irene Kral c.d. I do hope that she will continue to be discovered by future generations and thus, kept alive after a tragically early death. Hope her family read comments occasionaly. as

This girl could sing...saw her live at Dante's and took my mother the next night to hear her. She's one of the very, very best...crystal clear mesmerizing voice. Her brother, Roy Kral, singularly talented (and original too!) Allen Broadbent!!! He backed her and soooo exquisitely at Dante's. I have this and other of her albums. A sad, early and wasted life lost to breast cancer at 44, in1978 -- the same year I lost my third year med student brother to liver cancer.
