A toe-tapper, that's for sure. When it came to choosing songs to sing, Hank could be called a genius. He knew how to make his fans happy, his fans being beer-drinking cowboys, long-haul truckers, and women who loved flirting, dancing, and being on the hunt for Mr. Right. Hank could turn a song, that's for sure...and if Hank had any record on the jukebox, it was a great time for a young girl to be hot to trot and on the prowl.

He reminds me of Bobby Bare in that when they were both younger, they looked like yuppy stockbrokers. Older they got, the more they resembled real old cowboy singers.

Is this the original? I've sung this song a lot back in 53 and since and I always remembered the phrasing men in a tub. But Hank phrases it as one word, meninatub. Am I right or wrong?

thanks for posting this brings a good feeling to my heart and a tear to my eye every time I hear it my dad used to sing it to me when I was a baby and now that he's no longer here it makes the memory even that more special
