This song means so many things.. For me, I basically live to impress, and I hate it. I hate partying and everything she basically mentions. I want to be liked, so I do it anyway thinking I am cool.. This song is exactly how it feels to be at that awkward stage between being young and growing up. When you're friends go away from home to find themselves and start their new life, while you stay home. When newer kids start taking ownership of your old hangouts and they look at you like you're the fuckin new kid, even though you saw those sunrises and sunsets long before they did. It's when you try to still have fun, but nothing is the same, so you just want to be by yourself for a while to process what's going on in your life. Sometimes you just have to shut yourself off from life and listen to some music that you get and can help you get past this part of your life a little easier.
