According to Gary Glitter, Gene shot at him in Hamburg because he'd been messing about with one of his girls!!!!!

The Beatles met Gene Vincent & going back to his hotel Gene pulled a gun out of the drawer & immediately the Beatles said 'We gotta go Gene!" Later in 1968 in a hotel in Germany, Vincent tried to shoot Gary Glitter. He fired several shots but missed and a frightened Glitter left the country the next day.
