I had seen him play live at a club in Dallas on Lemmon avenue called Mother Blues in "75-'76. I was 18. I walked up to him during a break in his set, said "great to meet you Mr. King" and shook his hand. His hands were enormous. Like bear paws. Greatest guitar player on stage plus a great voice. He was so nice.
