Amazing voice! So interesting that only a year or so later songs (and singers!) like this made way on the Hit Parade for the start of the swinging sixties sounds of the guitar pop & rock bands! Ballads were still around of course but they sounded sexier and more dramatic - Tom Jones is a prime example of this, well, in my humble opinion anyway ;)

Saw Frankie in the 60s many times and he was great, good showman, he also supported the boys clubs of GT Britain, he would charge a half crown for his autograph with proceeds going to them, a really nice man, Rip Frankie.
