every thing goes wrong you seem so bad
Don t bring me down, don t let me drown
In my darkest hour, i m just a soul whose intentions are good
every thing goes wrong you seem so bad
One thing i never mean to do baby don t you know, do you understand me now Eric, sometimes you see that i get little mad
don t let me drown
i m just a soul whose intentions are good
i m just a soul whose intentions are good
i want you to know
I just want you to know, sometimes you see that i get little mad Let, if i get edgy baby
Please don t let me, please don t let me be misunderstood Burdon, all i ve got to do is worry
Please don t let me be misunderstood, it was you who came along to guide me you put your finger tips upon my forehead, don t let me drown
One thing i never mean to do baby don t you know, don t let me drown
Don t you know no one alive, please don t let me be misunderstood
Please don t let me be misunderstood, one thing i never mean to do baby don t you know
You turn me round and you show me the other side, don t bring me down Don’T, every thing goes wrong you seem so bad
please don t let me be misunderstood
I m just a soul whose intentions are good, begging me to stay, everybody s got problems
I m just a soul whose intentions are good, one thing i never mean to do baby don t you know, i never mean to take it out on you
i m just a soul whose intentions are good
In my darkest hour, i got more than my share, please don t let me be misunderstood
Don t bring me down, can always be an angel, please don t let me drown
some foolish thing
stay beside me
Some foolish thing, please don t let me be misunderstood
don t let me drown
Don t run away, begging me to stay
everybody s got problems
The one thing i never meant to do baby, with a joy that s it hard to hide
then again it seems like well
Can always be an angel, i m just a soul whose intentions are good Me, with a joy that s it hard to hide
don t you know no one alive
Please don t let me be misunderstood, some foolish thing
One of my favorite songs & this is my favorite version. I bought the album from a local record store (remember those?) mark-down bin in 1975.
"Sun Secrets" is a tremendous album.
I would take the record over to a friend's house. He had a powerful quadrophonic stereo he had hooked up to 12 speakers. We would smoke & drink and listen to music all night.
I saw him in France in 76 and was blown away, particularly by his performance of this song. When I got back I bought the album Sun Secrets, and it has basically the same version I remembered. It's the ultimate, perfect version and one of my favorite pieces of music ever. We've all related to the words of this song at different times, and he totally nails the emotion here, not to mention the guitarist’s absolutely staggering performance. I don't remember how many times I've put it on late at night at top volume, drunk, and shouted the words along with him. Totally cathartic.
Wow I was 15 when this record hit the charts and we use to dance the night away listening to this song....... thanks for uploading, this is just one great trip down Memory Lane
ERic Burdon at his Most Sexiest, this Album is his greatest, He uses his voice as a insrtument . I Love watching him sing , I'm in Love with his younger self... the corner of his mouth , his eyes as they move with motion, I lOve the whole package as he sings effortlessly with the bluesy lyrics and sexy runs ... If i only knew when i was young, hahaha , no pun intended , or when he was younger i would have totally wanted to get in touch with him. I Loved his songs at 13 yrs of age, never knew what he looked like at his age, bought this album a week ago in Rhino records LA. for 5 bucks, WOW, best yet,,,looked him up on u tube and fell in Love. I remember his song San Francisco , in 6th grade walking across the Lido bridge with flowers in my hair, listing to San Francisco... Loving the song back then and still do to this day...War just played last night at the LA fair, i was hoping he would just walk on the stage Ya, if i knew he was would have showed i would have gotten VIP tickets back stage. But did not ....dang, when in town, let me know.. we have a nice village music store owned by the Ben Harper family.. stop on by and give me a ring.. just saying..LIsa
This whole album is absolutely KILLER, SMOKING STRAIGHT UO ROCK AND ROLL. I bought it when it first came out in the 70's. I listened to it night and day.
I was security for him and the band in the early 80s in Brisbane,Australia. They didnt let us down . This version of the song and when i was young from the same album are what i'm learning to play now.
I was a DJ in a bar in 78 or 79 and played this son alot. What happened to rock and roll? When people play what they do now, I just laugh! Hey Rembrant, check out this stick figure!
I Heard this versión when I was in my twenties. I think I havent Heard it for more tan 15 years….Tonight listening songs during quarantine I suddenly remember it….and it is really amazing …. a masterpiece of music. Eric Burdon a bloody genius !!!
