"No Chuck Berry = No Elvis" what do you mean? Some people dont seem to understand that Chuck did his first recording in May 1955 (Maybellene), 1 year after Elvis did his first Rock record! And before that elvis had no idea who Chuck Berry was

first of all why do people say he ripped off chuck? Elvis recorded thats alright in 54' and went famous from there. Chuck didnt record Mayballene(first song recorde with chess) until 55

I love hearing this early live version of Mabellene but I have say that Scotty cannot do what Chuck did on the guitar good as he was Chuck really had a tremendous influence including his guitar playing

Nope, it's not that way you are taking, his early records included few covers, but his instrumentation was involved, he could play guitar, piano, bass, etc. And he did. That's how that is.

Very good version, of this Song! Its not good to comper Elvis and Chuck Berry Chuk was abreat songwriter and a very good one, but Elvi was and are the King of entertament.

Funny how they say Elvis stole from Chuck Berry, when ‘Maybellene’ itself is just a reworking if the 1938 western tune ‘Ida Red’
