Dope! Album cover is cool too, I wonder if he was just wandering through a record store one day and snapped that.

I bought this album in 96 simply because of the cover. I was wearing a hoodie(blue) and jeans looking thru albums like the brotha on the cover. I thought it was sorta ironic so I got it without hearing a single track. I wish played the lotto that day probably woulda won.

A lot of people don't realize these are actual breaks mixed with a beat machine. Mad skills..

I stumbled across the brilliance of DJ Shadow quite a few years ago. One night I was sitting cuddling my Daughter, who at the time was having trouble sleeping due to teething. As I sat there with her in my arms, I was flicking through the channels on the TV. I got to the music channels and stopped on MTV, and I just caught the last minute and a half of this song. As soon as my Daughter heard the music she stopped crying and started drifting off to sleep. I have been a massive fan of his ever since and feel he is a very underrated musician. Thank you DJ Shadow, your musical genius gave a fellow man a peaceful evening that night.

That album cover is how record stores used to be. I knew mad dudes who week after week would go to the same three stores, looking for either samples or LPs to throw into their sets. when this album came out, those same guys were busting a nut over it. I actually saw Shadow like 4 years ago, and his set was incredible.

Heard this on Pandora on a rainy night when I finally moved into my apartment. The rain was a perfect backdrop.
