After the WWII a few of DD films were on the screen in the Soviet Union and she had her admirers in my parent's generation there too. I remember Father once said: when your Mother was young she looked exactly like Durbin :-)))
Played this song after my mam passed away. Really tugged the heart strings. What a voice. There never has been such a close singer in my opinion. Such a crystal clear vocal yet rich and haunting. True class.
"Turn the hands of time for me. Let me live my memory.
Once again, I long to be beneath the lights of home."
Many years ago, I saw a television re-run of the movie "Nice Girl", and since then, Deanna Durbin is my most cherished female superstar. As the upcoming Mother's Day and Father's Day are celebrated, I dedicate this timeless song to the sacred memory of my precious mother and father. Thanks so much for sharing this most heartfelt video! With love from Canada, Evy
