It is amazing that this phenomenon of You Tube is putting up the Whitfield songs that I love so much. David's musiic has gotten me through so much. It is so true that reading the Bible is a comfort to millions and it is a shame that David left us so early. RIP David

Remember nearly all his songs along with the songs from Mario Lanza.Then came the sixties,but everything from back then was a million miles away from the rubbish that they produce nowadays.

I had not heard for many, many years and a few weeks ago, I awoke, and as soon as I had put my feet on the floor, this song came into my head and I knew all the lyrics as well. I had to look it up online as it was a beautiful song, but I have no idea how or why this song came into my head after so many years. I guessed it could only be "The Bible" by the lyrics. I do not ever remember Frankie Laine singing it and cannot find it online, I wonder why they thought it should be banned. as there is nothing offensive about it.

Wonderful song! I first heard it in ITV's Whitechapel, Series 4, Episodes 3 and 4. The murderer plays this song while he cuts his victims' skin off. Yet the music was the most gripping part of the scene!

This was the song played as my dad went into the crematorium, miss him so much

I remember asking for this record for My 13th birthday in 1954 as I so loved the words of the song. I still read the Bible every day.
