I always had an affinity with Curved Air going way back to the 70s, this is seriously brilliant and Sonja is still on top form. We seriously need bands like this to remind us all what real music is
This cut may be kind of a grab-bag mess of leftover '70s fusion and prog, but you know what, as soon as it was over I hit replay. The album as a whole sounds just fine, by the way; Interplay is an especially lovely piece. Welcome back, Curved Air, you are badly needed in the 21st century!
Fantastic come back. I always reckoned "Airborne" a nice farewell (from the 70s, from the youth) album..Never expected this, especially their new "jazz/rock" approach.Hello Sonja Kristina- do you know that I wanted you to be my girlfriend in the late 70s ? Remained a dream than, too bad (lol)
a hearty welcome to the 21st century to one of my favourite bands, i did enjoy this and all credit goes out to them from me. fantastic work, i felt there was a sort of frank zappa sound to this at times, just a hint
Not sure about this - echoes of Alan Holdsworth, Asia, Jean Luc-Ponty, Bill Bruford - bit of Zappa in there for good measure. I suppose it works but do we need it? Dunno - I'd certainly listen again tho ;)
