One of the greatest drinking songs ever written

This song reminds me of my Dad. He died a few weeks ago from cancer. As he lay unconscious in the ICU, I played all his favorite songs for him, including this one. I can't hear it now without crying. I'll miss you, Daddy.

You know what, this CCR classic sounds great today as it did 45 years ago. This is truly timeless music!!!

Creedence is the best band to come out of the US.

This was one of my brother's favorite bands. He passed away a little over 6 months ago..... He was only fifteen and already had a great taste in music. CCR will always remind me of him.

John Fogerty had one of the most unique sounds of the late 60's and early 70's. Great rockers from Northern california, who selected a Cajun' sound. Fogerty sounded like he was from Louisiana. He is a great guitarist and song writer. CCR was played more in Vietnam than any other band. Loved in the states too. JC Fogerty just brilliant and still going strong.

This is so weird because I live in Lodi and it is such a small town.

Played this song so much on a juke box that one guy threatened me harm if i chose it again......I did and he didn't.

true story..im brazilian and my father always liked ccr so i`ve listened to them all my life...i was going to san francisco driving from reno and ccr started playing on the radio. and i read lodi on the road sign and lodi started playing i could no believe.. it was so awesome...

Simple, melodic, honest and unique music... When I have bad mood I listen CCR... Vinyl of course...

This song sounds vastly more "Country" than today's so-called "Country" music ..... great song ...

Possibly CCR's best ever song - a timeless classic. Everyone who has experienced profound disappointment in their lives can identify with this.
