I am a huge fan of the whole CT discography. I have to say that Head Over Heals is my favorite album by them . MaD is quinticential CT. Total madness and just pure emo. Could be the best song they ever did
The first time i listened to this album was deeply moving. Musette and Drums is such a powerful way to end the album, it's the musical equivalent of putting a gun in your mouth and pulling the trigger literally mind blowing.
Welcome to the anteroom of shoegaze, a poisonous candy in a fancy wrapper.
Here everything works perfectly, without a doubt his masterpiece, Dark and beautiful at the same, I love this record is my favorite of CT, 10/10
This is my favorite song of all time~ It's so anthemic. I like how the Cocteau Twins made an effort to put the most bangin' tracks at the end - like a finale. "Head Over Heels" ended well with this emotionally-charged masterpiece.
Sounds like this has been remastered with a tech holding down the 'Loud' button - all the dynamism of the original vinyl is lost and it sounds muddy and indistinct - can't hear Robin's swooping and shrieking guitars.
