I have heard this song once before in my life, way back in about 1978 on CFNY-FM in Brampton, Ontario. (If you only know that radio station as 'The Edge; then you don't know what "The Spirit of Radio' means, which was the best music station around) I remembered the first verse to this day it struck me as such a unique sound. Saw City Boy live, in Hamilton, Ontario in November, 1979 and was blown away.
They play this on 102.3FM in St George, Utah. Good to have a decent classic rock station that makes some room aside from stuff like the usual 20 Eagles Tracks, 20 Creedence tracks or dozen Eddie Money tracks that classic rock stations over expose.
Heard this song for first time ever today on WNMF Radio, Tampa FL. Gotta love our fab local radio station for turning on young ‘uns like us to what we missed by being born after that era was over. Good stuff!
So officially the Mutt Lange world of production starts. It being 1975 was light years from Def lep and seems stuck 10cc Queen and The Tubes. Tight vocals and in your face edits. How this got ACDC I'll never know.
