yea yea yea
Rollin' down the highway
Like a rocket
God I’m headed to town now
Can’t stop it With the wheels in my hand
As I stand
On the floor of the board of this car on the road
Got this woman in the back seat
She’s my wifey
In the middle of delivery
Man she save me To this day I don’t know why
She picked me up When I was down on the road with the wind when it blowed
(Chorus Twice)
Well the son’s gonna rise in a mile
In a mile you’ll be feeling fine
In a mile you will see
After me You’ll be out of the dark
Yeah you’ll get your shot, yeah
(Repeat Verse)
(Chorus Twice)
Man this song makes me happy and sad at the same time. I met my ex, the love of my life(may she rest in peace) when she picked me up when I was down on the road and I dont know why. I had flipped my car on a bright sunny day, totaled it. Walked away without a scratch. Called everyone I know. Nobody could help. Got a call from a friend I hadnt heard from in years. Somehow he heard I flipped my car. Said hed be right there. Hours go by. Phone rings right when Im about to give up hope. Its him! Answer and its not him! Its a lady. She says hes nodded out off of you know what but shes still gonna come get me. I said you dont even know me tho, are you sure? (I was at least an hour away!) She said yeah, Im already on my way. I can still see her eyes and her hair blowing as she rolled the window down when she pulled up. Ironically she was killed in a car wreck about a year and a half ago. Ill see you when we ride again, baby.
Everything is gonna be okey, have faith in yourself. Stay strong and prevail over the obstacles life puts on you. Raise up to be the person you want to be. Nothing else matters.
with being a great son in my family, always knowing that when I get knocked down that I can always pick my self back up and brush myself off and always rise to the occasion , and that I am always gonna rise back up to be that great person that I can be in this great world.
