During the 1960s the cops raided my home looking for drugs. The had me and my two friends sit at the dining room table while they searched. After they searched the living room; I asked them if we could move into there and play some music while the continued their search. They agreed, so I thought I'm gonna play Hometown Bust... quite appropriate I thought. They didn't find anything and left bewildered. I and my friends had a good laugh. Just before they cops arrived my friends had a tip they were coming and did the Mescaline
Ooops!! Arguing bout drugs I forgot to say: Hell!! Amazing Band!!! Seriously, I don´t think Zeppelin ever made a track with the contundence of this Cactus song.
Rusty Day and Ronnie VanZant are what I like to call the Big Two, as in the two best band frontman ever in my opinion. No one can compare them to any other rock band frontman. Instead, every rock band frontman should be compared to them!
R.I.P. Russell E. "Rusty Day" Davidson (1945-1982), the original singer, harmonica player, and percussionist of Cactus
I was fortunate to see these guys 5 times back in the day. This tune is explosive in every way. Just listen to the lines by Tim Bogart in the solo, freakin' awesome!!! One of the best bands to emerge from the 70's in my book. The only thing I wish is that they would of stayed with the sound and music like this, Parchment Farm, Evil, and such. Regardless they were always great live.
