I lost my mom on 8.2.2019. This is the song that describes her spirit, the hardships, the south winds of our island, the love, the smiles, the worries, the loss of control when she left me in charge to take her to her last sleep. I gave all, all I had to her, and I would carry her to the top of the world... This song gives me wings every time I remember I had strenght to tell her I will be ok. I love you mom, I will be ok, and good night. This is the person who made me. Thanks Buckethead for creating notes in space and smell of music for a synesthete as I am to remember.

Bucket was really close with his parents. They were really supportive of him. He stated in a recent interview that his parents would drive him to Paul Gilbert’s studio several miles away once a week for lessons. They knew he had a special gift and did everything they could to help him express it.

The entire colma album was brilliantly produced..

BH dedicated this album to his mother back in 1998 when she was fighting cancer in the hospital. She passed away a few years ago.
