"I used to care, I was being cared for, make sure I showed it to everyone I loved." "I used to pray like god was listening" "I used to make my parents proud" " I was the glue that kepy my friends together, now they don't talk and we don't go out..."

I've been thinking of writing a collection of short stories based off of songs from this album

As someone who turned away from Christianity, this song resonates too well.

"he's pronouncing it wrong" that's because you're assuming he's saying "millstone" he's not.

How my eyeball twitched every time you confused 'breath' with 'breathe'...

that's very vague of you. only the Triple Crown Records vinyl release of this record comes with a handwritten lyric sheet. it's very worth noting that the first two lines of the Degausser chorus, everything past the "head on silver plate" part of You Won't Know, and the backing vocal track behind many of parts on this record are omitted.

Lyrics are deeply rooted in Christianity. The whole album suggests this. The internal struggle that exists in every believer is real.

this song is my anthem. i use to have dreams. i use to be somebody. somewhere something happened and now i gotta take a pill just to have the will to go to work and live a normal life. anxiety cuts like a knife.
