In 1962, I was in the 8th grade and during the school year they would have "Friday Night Sock Hops" in the gym. The guy who did the DJ-ing was a college guy, and he would always play this song as the last dance of the night! Don't think I've heard it even once since then until the recent "commercials" started! It brought back memories of Poodle skirts, Capri pants, ponytails, and Stridex! Ah, good times...
